| This proposal for a new building next to an existing architecture school, FAU-USP, adheres to the idea of spatial continuity in Vilnova Artigas’s design through the plays on opacity and transparency. The proposed hovering beams and volume emphasize the structural ingenuity of modern Paulista architecture. They allow the extension between the existing canopy under the school and the new archive and gallery building. Research rooms, café and the workshop open up to the plaza, animating the lower floor. |
